One of the 1st Cemeteries in New England Located In Southern New England dates back to 1630's, The last person to be buried here was in 1930's

Tombstone Head for patients that passed at DSH R.I.P. These date back to late 1800's up to mid 90's there were "believed" to be over 800 markers with just numbers in the old cemetery.

Pineland State Hospital

Pineland Cemetery

Pineland Farm Was Open in 1880's Was an Old Cottage Plan With over 70 Buildings The Site was abandoned for 7 years before local farmers bought the Asylum Hospital kept a dozen buildings. refurbished The last buildings into a Little farm Market Area. I visited in Nov 2009 and Found Only the Hospitals Graveyard. Which Will Be Left Untouched... I will add more historic facts about this Location soon.

The Historic Photos Are From The Maine Historic Society This use to, Ponewell Hall The Last Cottage Built on the grounds opened in 1922 All though the Its was Asylum Maine Is trying Hard Change The History.

H H Richardson Library

Henry Hobson Richardson

Library Was built 1876 1879, Henry Hobson Richardson, He had Built Many Building around the United States up Till 1890's. Another Building he built and designed was of many Libraries, the Boston Library, many more building from train stations to Asylums. I visited this site and when I arrived I meet the Owner, he said that the building might close due to Technology The Library is a little out dated. I will be back in july 2010 to this site to take more photos.

The Jails Is Being Turned Into Condos. R.I.P.
The Cemetery will not be disturbed though
located next to the Jail, which is where the
inmates that were hung in front of the sheriffs
office are all buried. There were also Witches
from the trails that were also buried here as well.
The Original Jail Is still on the grounds built
1600's Then the state built the First Wing 1813

The Last Wing was Built 1884. Closed In the 1990's

done by Early March 2010.
